Why?
Prefixes provide useful metrics to advertisers to make it easier for them to support the show. For example, advertisers can learn:
- how many listeners purchased WITHOUT a promo code. This can give more credit to the show for performance.
- real-time pacing and impressions delivered, versus them needing to receive this through spreadsheet or email.

Transistor (Official Support)

Acast does not support prefixes. Instead, you should be able to add a tracking pixel to the “Third party tracking” field (full guide).

Wordpress
Wordpress doesn't support Podscribe out-of-the-box. You may be able to install a plugin, like Seriously Simple Podcasting, that allows you to integrate Podscribe (and would give you better podcasting tools as well).

You can use the Podscribe prefix either before or after an existing prefix. We recommend testing the combined prefix in your browser before changing your RSS feed.

We strongly suggest using HTTPS for all redirects. If you're unable to do so, please use HTTP for all redirects, as some podcast apps like Google Podcasts will not redirect from HTTPS to HTTP.
FAQ
How does Podscribe use my show’s data?
Podscribe will automatically report IAB-certified campaign delivery and performance to all advertisers with campaigns on your show.
Specifically, your advertisers will be able to see downloads delivered, reach, frequency, geographical distribution, and performance info such as visitors and purchases driven.
This lets advertisers get a real-time view of delivery that does not require CSVs being emailed, and a better understanding of the performance your show drives.
Additionally, by placing the Podscribe RSS prefix, your show becomes eligible to be included in our Research Portal to be recommended to all Podscribe clients, even advertisers you do not work with. They will be able to see your download counts for each episode even if they do not advertise. If you would like to opt out of this, please email adops@podscribe.com to exclude your show from the Research Portal and being included in our Show Discovery engine.
How can I tell that the prefix has been added?
For the truest, most accurate check, you can check the RSS feed to see if the prefix is on it:
- Find the show’s page on Podscribe here.
- Click the RSS icon to go to the RSS Feed of the podcast (in Chrome):
- Search for “pscrb”. If it pops up, our prefix is there!
- You can also hover your mouse over the checkmark on the show page to see if our prefix has been added:
