Campaign Planner Tab

The Podscribe Planner is a powerful tool for advertisers, agencies, and publishers to identify high-fit podcasts, uncover net new audiences, forecast campaign impact, and build curated media plans—all from one place.

Whether you’re planning your next campaign or preparing a pitch, the Planner brings together actionable data to help you make smarter decisions with speed and confidence.

Who Is This For?

  • Advertisers: Identify high-impact shows that expand your reach, drive conversions, and align with your target audience.
  • Agencies: Build and share data-backed plans across brands efficiently.
  • Publishers: Showcase your shows’ value using net new reach, brand affinity, and segment matching to craft data-backed pitches and win more business.

Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Planner

Step 1: Select an Advertiser and Review Base Audience

When you open the Planner, you’ll start by selecting the advertiser you’re planning for.

  • Base Audience Shows: Podscribe will automatically surface shows this advertiser has appeared on over the past 1–3 months. Advertiser campaign data is used, if available. Otherwise, we will use information from our research database.
  • List Customization: You may add shows manually or remove ones not relevant. This base becomes your comparison point for calculating net new reach.

Step 2: Add Shows to Your Planned Campaign

Use the Recommended list, Similar To tabs, or the search bar to start building a plan:

  • Apply Filters: Narrow the table by net-new reach, brand affinity, projected conversions, audience segments, publisher, genre, and more.
  • Add Shows: Click ‘➕ Add to the List’ next to any show to drop it into your plan (and remove it just as easily).
  • Organize with Lists: Create, name and save custom lists, like “Q4 High Affinity” or “True-Crime Bundle”.
💡

Lists are automatically shared with and accessible to all your team members on Podscribe.

Step 3: Discover Shows by Similarity

Use the Similar To > Show tab to find look-alike shows by:

  • Content: Similar genre or podcast topic
  • Segment Profile: Find shows with the same TransUnion or social audience makeup
  • Audience Overlap: See which shows share the same listeners

Use Similar To > Existing Customers of [advertiser] by:

  • TransUnion Audience Similarity: See shows that have audiences that most resemble that of the advertiser’s existing customers

Step 4: Compare Plans and Export Lists

As you add shows, you'll see cumulative metrics update at the top of the list to reflect projected total impressions, reach, net new audience, and conversions.

When ready, you can:

  • Save your plan and revisit or edit later with your team members
  • Export easily to share with clients or partners
  • Create multiple plans for different strategies, budgets, or verticals

Glossary

  • Net New Reach: Share of the show’s listeners who have not heard your ads in the past 1-3 months
  • Brand Affinity: % of that audience who have visited or purchased from your brand in the past month
  • Projected Conversions: Estimated customers and visitors the show could drive, modeled from past results or from industry and genre benchmarks, if no performance data is available for the advertiser
  • Audience Overlap: Listener duplication between the selected show, and the shows in your list
  • Demographics & Segment Traits: Filter by income, behaviors, purchase intent, and other TransUnion or social signals
